Wrestling Tournament

This weekend I went to Richfield Utah to shoot a few of my best friends kiddos! :) It was a great trip! The wrestling tournament was at Snow College and there were almost 900 wrestlers under the age of 15. SO FUN! I got a floor pass so I could be right in the action! Take a look at these great photos.

I LOVE WEDDINGS!

I love shooting weddings! Actually I love everything about weddings! The love, steess, drama, family, partying, ALL OF IT! Of course I am really looking forward to this years wedding season! It is coming up really fast! I am going to have a booth at the wedding expo in Montrose, Colorado on February 20th! It is going to be a lot of work but totally worth it!

In this blog post I am going to show you some of my favorite shots. It will show you some of the things I like to do during weddings :)



One of my favorite things to do is connecting with the bride! We become very close on the wedding day because honestly, a lot of the wedding day goes around what the photographer needs! The photographer needs more time than any of the other hired help in the wedding. I usually arrive before everyone else and leave after everyone is gone! So the bride usually relies on me to help a lot! A lot of the time I am making sure the bride is smiling and happy! (cause her wedding day is kind of a big deal!) Nobody wants an unhappy bride!



After the wedding the bride and I become friends forever! I LOVE seeing my couples have babies! I don't actually watch them have babies, but you know what I mean! :) (I also shoot newborns) Decorations and details of the wedding are some of my favorite things to take photos of!





The love that you see between newlyweds is amazing! I love capturing that moment where they look at each other and the whole world fades away!









Oh yeah! AND weddings are really fun! I LOVE being part of the fun and capturing the parts that people wont remember in the morning ;) Just look at how much fun these guys are having!

Baby Sawyer!

Oh my I love newborns! Little Sawyer Hatch was so much fun to shoot! I could kiss him all day! Sean and Mollie did such an amazing job making this little guy! I shot Mollie and Seans wedding this time last year! And, they have a baby! I LOVE IT!!!

A little about me :) The photographer

So I started my Photography business almost 2 years ago! It seems like it was yesterday. Photography has turned into my dream and my passion! I love it so much! I always said that when i grow up "I want to be a Mommy!", I never would have thought I would become a photographer! But, now when I look back on my life and my marriage I was always taking great photos of my kids and had people compliment them. I never really looked further into it. I would even take photos of my friends' kids like I was a professional photographer! lol I was far from it then ;) So one day I was playing with my camera and taking fun photos of my son on his skateboard when I realized the amazing things my camera could do! Soon after that I was taking my kids' school photos instead of the school. When my friends saw the photos, they wanted their kids photos taken, then family photos taken, and so on and so on.


Here I am now! I am a pretty well known Professional photographer! KATIE LANDERS IS A BUSINESS OWNER! What? I know it totally sounds weird to me! I laugh when I hear myself say it! But it is the truth, and I am doing a dang good job I must say! I have had amazing support from my family and friends! I wouldn't be here if it wasn't for my amazing husband Dan!
